1987-88 short wheel base Ram Vans, Caravans, and Voyagers built at Windsor Assembly, since May 21, 1987 (MDH 05-21-XX), feature sealed-for-life
tie rod ends on power steering equipped vehicles. Consequently, there is no grease fitting in the tie rod ends on these vehicles.
When maintenance service is performed on these vehicles, NO ATTEMPT TO INSTALL GREASE FITTINGS OR TO LUBRICATE THE TIE ROD
ENDS SHOULD BE MADE. Inspect the tie rods for looseness and the seals for cracks, stone damage, or deterioration at the required maintenance
intervals and replace if necessary.
